Despite the shutdown of all regional stations of ABS-CBN following their failure to acquire a Congressional franchise, ABS-CBN Corporation continuously building their new, upgraded and wide broadcast studio in Iloilo City.
Before the shutdown, ABS-CBN Iloilo was broadcasting from their old studio in Luna St., La Paz, Iloilo.
The new building is now in Banuyao Coastal Road and construction is still ongoing. If given a franchise again, the new studio will house all local produce programs of ABS-CBN Iloilo.
If only the Kapamilya network acquired a Congressional franchise ABS-CBN Iloilo could have served the people in Panay Region through their locally produced programs like TV Patrol Panay. Also, their digitalization could be a potential way to market digital TV broadcasts in the region.
