On June 14, 2021 TV5 Engineering team installed a DTTB antenna in their Quiot, Pardo, Cebu City tower. The upgrade was headed by their Engineering Head Rodrigo V. Carandang.
Earlier this year, TV5 President Robert Galang announced that they will expedite the building and upgrade of their facilities to digitalization in cooperation with Cignal this 3rd and 4th quarter of 2021.
Once TV5 will test their digital broadcast it will include 3 subchannels/programs namely 5, One Sports and One Ph. A Perfect addition to PTV, GMA and BEAM digital programs.
Last May 2021, TV5 launched their station ID “Iba sa 5” which shows the vast of choices on TV5 programs from different content providers in the country which includes their competitor ABS-CBN Entertainment.
So mga Kapatid in Cebu, watch out as TV5 will soon be available in your setup boxes and ISDBT-ready TV sets soon.
