This May 5, 2021 marks the 18th year anniversary of Meteor Garden, the Asianovela that we all loved. It becomes a significant part of TV industry and history. As a matter of fact it was considered to be " the Asianovela that started it all". Its high TV rating and popularity pave way to other Tagalized Asianovelas in the Philippines.
After the Kapamilya network aired this phenomenal drama, GMA started to air and acquire Asian dramas as well to compete.
'Meteor Garden' was aired on ABS-CBN several times but it consistently became the top-rating program in all parts of the country. Year 2011 when the Kapuso network re aired the same program which earned several negative and positive comments from the viewers. Despite the issue, Asianovela fans followed the series on ABS-CBN, Jeepney TV, Asianovela Channel, and even online via iWantTFC.
The main cast of the drama attended the 50th Anniversary celebration of ABS-CBN. A certified Kapamilya indeed.
