As the GMA network expands its digital TV expansion, all their Visayas regional stations will migrate to Digital Terrestrial Television.
After the success of Cebu City, they are now ready for more regional stations to be converted into digital.
GMA Iloilo will soon test their digital transmitter in Guimaras through Channel 29 or 563.143 Mhz.
On May 11, 2021, in an episode of the daily local newscast One Western Visayas, the anchors announced that GMA Bacolod's Channel 44 is now on Digital Test Broadcast while GMA Iloilo will follow soon.
